It’s Thursday and you know what that means: buggar all.

I suppose that’s not strictly speaking true. Not only is the weekend nearly upon us but it also means I get to share another track with you lovely folk. Today’s Song of the Day is from musical magpies’ Flamingods. This London five-piece originally hail from Bahrain (well four out of five of them) and together they make psychedelic indie-pop with a compass-confusing twist.

After touring and recording rough demos in 2011, this year has seen them sign to DIY record label Art Is Hard who will release their debut album entitled Sun early next year. Staying true to the Art Is Hard tradition of experimental release packages, fans will be able to buy it in a variety of formats including a ‘Hot Sauce’ package which includes homemade Herby Tahini & Green Chilli recipes – whatever next! I haven’t tasted it yet but I’m reckoning nachos will be a safe bet on the serving suggestions.
